How Ottawa-based Lacroix Equipment Rentals Came to Be
An Unexpected Beginning
Lacroix Equipment Rentals was founded by Aurèle Lacroix in 1975 in a rather unorthodox manner. When he purchased his first loader, all Lacroix wanted to do was plow the parking lot in front of his barber shop. That winter saw an uncharacteristic amount of snow, even for Ottawa. Lacroix found he could earn extra income by plowing neighbouring businesses' parking lots. And so it began!
Four Successful Decades
Over 40 years and countless satisfied customers later, Lacroix now manages daily operations at Lacroix Equipment Rentals Ltd. with his sons, Kevin and Steven. The family business has successfully helped complete thousands of Ottawa excavation projects while always maintaining a close relationship with homebuilders and project managers alike.
